Demolition works complete

We are pleased to share with the community that demolition works are now complete, landscaping is underway and discussions with potential partners for the redevelopment have begun.

We are pleased preliminary works have commenced on the Toombul site in preparation for demolition.

Demolition Development Application approved

We are pleased to share with you that Brisbane City Council has approved Mirvac’s application to demolish structures at the flood damaged Toombul centre. This is an important step forward for the regeneration of the site.

Demolition Development Application submitted

Today we lodged a Development Application (DA) with Brisbane City Council to seek permission to demolish buildings and structures at the former Toombul site.

Consultation highlights now available

Last year we invited feedback on what the community would like to see in the potential redevelopment of the Toombul site. We’re pleased to let you know we received almost 10,000 pieces of incredible feedback that have been carefully considered and will help inform our continued planning for the future of Toombul, along with planning outcomes and commercial considerations.

Acknowledgement of Country

Toombul acknowledges the Pine Rivers and Brisbane Miguntyun people who spoke the Yuggara (Yugarapul) language as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Toombul stands today, and we recognise their enduring connection to the land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
